Back in 2017, 2 years after he dropped out of college Tawobi tweeted that he had finished the first version of F.A.T.E and that it was his most personal, profound and powerful piece of music he ever produced. The type of music that if he were to die now, at least this would be out and the Tawobi that was couch hopping for years around west Philly, being evicted every month or two, hustling and working dead end jobs would be known and would live forever. Now in 2020 after 4 e.p's, the video for 'White People Song' breaking 157,000 views on Youtube and being invited to perform in Detroit by one of his favorite rappers from Bruiser Brigade and Danny Brown's cousin Dopehead Tawobi is still alive and it would seem his F.A.T.E is sealed.

theFishthatAteTheElephant started with a conversation he had with his father after first dropping out. Tawobi was already beginning to crumble under the pressure of life and trying to keep his mission and team together. His father asked him if he had ever heard about eating the elephant. 'So there's a task you have to complete, its an elephant and you have to eat it. But you can't eat it all at once, you have to eat a little bit at a time, all of the time. One day the elephant will be gone. But you can't do it in a sitting.'
